Weight Loss Diet of Elizabeth Hurley

The most effective diet is admitted the one which professional model and actress Elizabeth Hurley uses. Its dieting with the low maintenance of the carbohydrates, also known as «Diet of the primitive man» (or Paleolithic), allows Liz in her 42 to shed beauty and amaze people around with her ideal figure. The diet consists of the useage of the products such as seafood, fast meat, eggs and fruits. As Liz Hurley admits, only several days of a similar strict diet are enough to lose weight up to 5 kilos!

The main point of the Paleolithic diet consists in refusal from:

1) any cereals (including bread, the dough and macaroni) and beans (including string beans, lentil, peanuts, peas);

2) potatoes;

3) dairy products;

4) sugar and salt.

You may have an impression that, in general, it is impossible to eat anything. But this is not true! You may eat:

- meat (mainly organic – a liver and kidneys), a hen and fish (without salt);

- eggs;

- fruit;

- vegetables (in particular root crops – carrots, turnip, parsnip and others, except potatoes);

- some nuts (Brazilian, walnuts, almonds);

- berries – a strawberry, a bilberry, a raspberry etc.

    Before the arrival of agriculture, technology and civilization human beings took part in a diet now referred to as the Paleolithic Diet. In short, it is a diet of the Stone Age which consisted of mainly lean red meat and vegetables. In this type of diet animal meat is consumed in large quantities and 45 to 65% of the energy needed by the body is derived from it.

    Living off of the Paleolithic Diet till the early centuries, people had extremely low rates of cancer, obesity, arthritis, osteoporosis, diabetes and heart diseases before shifting to our modern diets. Therefore, nutritionists and scientists believe that the Paleolithic diet is a great tool for combating modern ailments including obesity, cancer and others.

    The foods included in this diet are generally lean red meat, eggs, fish, fruits, nuts and vegetables. Items like breads, pasta, milk, refined sugars were excluded from this diet. This diet used to vary region and culture wise in different countries.

    The specialty of this diet is it is rich in protein, fiber, minerals, iron, vitamins, mono unsaturated fat, omega3 fats, antioxidants and phyto-chemicals. On the other hand the diet contains lower quantity of saturated fats, salts, and enzyme inhibitors.

    Experts feel that the Paleolithic diet have many health benefits and since foods taken are mostly natural they have no side effects. Since milk and dairy products are excluded in this diet it is safe to have some calcium to protect from rickets, osteoporosis, etc.
